Edgewood Locker, Edgewood, Iowa, won national recognition at the American Cured Meat Championships (ACMC) held July 18-20, 2013, in North Charleston, South Carolina, in conjunction with the 74th Convention of the American Association of Meat Processors (AAMP).  The ACMC annually draws hundreds of entries from across the entire United States. 

                Edgewood Locker was awarded 3rd Place, Champion, in the Semi-Boneless Ham class.  All entries were judged based on aroma, flavor, eye appeal, color and texture. 

                Technical Advisors for 2013 were:  Jeffrey J. Sindelar, Ph.D., University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, Wisconsin, and Joseph C. Cordray, Ph.D., Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa.

                Edgewood Locker is a member of the American Association of Meat Processors, the nation’s largest trade organization representing small businessmen in the meat/food related industry.
