Learn more about Meat Cutting and Butchering with Edgewood Locker's Registered Apprenticeship Program. Our 1-on-1 on the job training, will help you to learn all aspects of the business. Apprentices will be rotated throughout various work processes to ensure a well rounded professional upon completion of the Apprenticeship Program. During the apprenticeship, you will receive competitive wages, with a goal of advancement.
Apprentices must also receive training at Hawkeye Community College, including 96 lecture hours and 64 lab hours. Tuition reimbursement is available to those who met the requirements.

Our Meat Cutter & Butcher Apprenticeship program is registered as part of the National Apprenticeship Program in Accordance with the Standards of Apprenticeship established by the United States Secretary of Labor. After the successful completion of the program, you will receive a Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship, issued by the Department of Labor's Office of Apprenticeship.
